Convert Esri formats to open formats

Drop in a File Geodatabase, shapefile or another Esri format and get GeoPackage, GeoJSON, GeoParquet, GeoTIFF or web-map tiles back. Every conversion comes with an honest report of exactly what survived the trip — and what didn’t.

Drop a file here, or browse

One file per conversion — zip a File Geodatabase (.gdb folder) or a shapefile with its sidecar files. Up to 1 GB.

What converts to what

In: File Geodatabase (vector and raster), shapefile, Esri JSON, GeoJSON, Personal Geodatabase (.mdb), Esri packages (.lpkx/.mpkx/.ppkx), tile packages (.tpkx) and compact caches, ArcInfo ASCII and binary grids, BIL/BIP/BSQ, ArcInfo coverages and uncompressed E00 exports.

Out: GeoPackage (recommended), GeoJSON, GeoJSON Sequence, FlatGeobuf, GeoParquet, CSV with WKT geometry, shapefile (with a rename report), PostgreSQL dump, PMTiles vector tiles, GeoTIFF, Cloud Optimized GeoTIFF and MBTiles raster tiles.

Why we built this

Your data shouldn’t decide which software you’re allowed to use. Open formats like GeoPackage work in QGIS, PostGIS, DuckDB — and in ArcGIS too. We tell you exactly what each format preserves instead of pretending every conversion is lossless; formats we can’t convert honestly, we decline with an explanation.

Not affiliated with Esri. “Esri”, “ArcGIS” and format names are used only to describe compatibility.
